Job Description:
Cerevia is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will work closely with children, teens, and their families to assess behavioral challenges, implement individualized intervention plans, and teach practical skills that promote positive behavior and emotional growth. You will collaborate with psychologists, therapists, educators, and caregivers to ensure consistent support across home, school, and clinical settings.
The ideal candidate has experience working with individuals with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and behavioral or developmental challenges. You are passionate about helping clients develop meaningful life skills, improve emotional regulation, and achieve measurable progress through evidence-based behavioral strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct behavioral assessments and contribute to individualized intervention plans.
- Deliver one-on-one behavioral therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
- Teach emotional regulation, communication, social, and daily living skills.
- Implement positive behavior support strategies tailored to each client's needs.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary clinicians.
- Monitor client progress and modify intervention plans when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, session notes, and progress reports.
- Promote a safe, supportive, and engaging therapeutic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field.
- Experience supporting individuals with ADHD, autism, and behavioral challenges.
- Knowledge of Positive Behavior Support (PBS), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), or other evidence-based behavioral approaches.
- Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing behavioral therapy or behavioral intervention services.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, ethical, and client-centered behavioral care.
