Job Description:
Cerevia is seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will work with children and adolescents to improve their daily living skills, sensory processing, motor development, and overall independence. You will create individualized therapy plans that empower clients to succeed at home, school, and within their communities while working closely with families, caregivers, and fellow clinicians.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting individuals with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing differences, and developmental challenges. You are passionate about helping children build confidence, overcome everyday obstacles, and achieve meaningful progress through engaging, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each client's goals and developmental needs.
- Deliver one-on-one occupational therapy sessions focused on daily living, sensory, motor, and executive functioning skills.
- Support the development of self-care, fine motor, coordination, and independence skills.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary clinicians.
- Monitor client progress and adjust therapy plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation, treatment records, and progress reports.
- Promote a safe, engaging, and supportive therapy environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with children with ADHD, autism, sensory processing differences, and developmental delays.
- Strong understanding of sensory integration, fine motor development, and pediatric therapy techniques.
- Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric occupational therapy experience.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and their families.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload while maintaining high-quality client care.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, professional development, and client-centered therapy.
